Befor the concert

Wiedereinmal war ich in Leipzig. Die Stadt ist in nur kurz einer Stunde mit dem ICE von Berlin erreichbar, und so hatte ich mich zu einem kleinen Konzertausflug entschieden. Es fand in einer alten barocken Innenstadtkirche statt, welche aber im Inneren in einer wunderbaren Weise klassizistisch um- und ausgestaltet wurde. Auf einer der oberen Emporen fand ich gleich neben der Orgel einen Platz und konnte den Sängern sowie den Musikern bei der Vorbereitung zusehen. Es war wirklich ein schönes Erlebnis, auf Grund der beeindruckenden Musik, aber auch wegen der sehr deffizilen Farbigkeit im Kirchenraum.

Once again I was in Leipzig. The city center is only a short one hour by ICE from Berlin, and so I decided to a little concert outing. It took place in an old baroque city church, which was classically rebuilt and designed inside in a wonderful way. On one of the upper galleries I found next to the organ a place and could watch the singers and the musicians in preparing. It was really a nice experience, to hear the impressive music, but also because of the very deffizilen colors in the church.
